It irritates me to no end that I bought a membership back in Oct. and have only been able to use the arena twice. I bought a membership so that on days that my arena was to muddy to ride in I would still be able to exercise a horse or two. As I am a full time student and in class from 8am till 3pm everyday I also thought would be perfect while the days are short. My issue the arena is booked all day on Fridays & Saturdays, along with every evening, making it very inconvient to ride in for members not being able to afford to rent it by the hour, nor is there a break in the schedule to do so. I know the arena was bought with the intent to make money and renting it and having it busy is the way to do it, but the fact that I bought a membership and have only gotten to use it twice is irritating and the two times I did use it about the time I got the barrels set up the gentleman on the tractor came in and asked me to remove them so he could take an hour to work it and use up all the time I had to ride before the renters came in.

This is a predicament that we want to help workout. We will be looking at setting Friday evening aside for member only open riding. It is hard when everyone likes the arena during certain hours in the evening. Two days out of the week we have allowed triple bookings in the event center arena. We did put on a time only for barrel riders to have the opportunity to practice and be timed for a causal evening as well. Also members are more than welcome in the other indoor arena as well. We have great lighting in there now and have barrels available for use too. We know this is a concern and always welcome your comments and suggestions. We really are here for you and trying our best to accommodate and make the Rockin Y a success for the community!
